Hydnophytum papuanum is native to the rainforests of South-East Asia. These epiphytes live in the crevices of trees where ants make a home within the woody caudex and help pollinate the plant.

Care as follows:
- Bright indirect sunlight, semi-shademake
- Water when the compost is almost dry
- DOES NOT LIKE BEING COLD AND WET
